Este documento, buscando describir la situación de la ciencia y tecnología en América Latina, presenta y analiza las principales estadísticas disponibles para medir la producción, la distribución por áreas temáticas, el impacto y la calidad de la investigación científica y tecnológica realizada en América Latina entre 1973 y 1984. El documento contiene, también, una evaluación de los indicadores convencionales de resultados de la investigación (publicaciones, citaciones, patentes y premios científicos), describe las fuentes de donde provienen los datos y la metodología utilizada para la elaboración de los resultados presentados. |

This research wants to lay emphasis on topics that historicize and rescue concepts, in addition, shows the relation between innovation and socioeconomic development resulted; reviews the legal framework to stimulate new innovation into Brazilian society; considers the definition and the entrepreneur university's new paradigm; and finally, this research highlights the importance of teaching entrepreneur at universities, with straight society benefits. This Executive Summary presents the key findings from the first Report (2021) of the Science Panel for the Amazon (SPA). The Report is organized in three parts: current state, threats, and solutions, highlighting the Amazon Basin's important biological, biogeochemical, and physical features, as well as its social, cultural, political-historical, and economic aspects. The Panel is comprised of more than 200 scientists from across the region as well as global partners, and mobilized a broader network of scientists, communities, practitioners, and managers through workshops and webinars.
